Springfield YMCA Swim Team

The Springfield YMCA (SPY) Swim Team is a YMCA/USA year-round competitive swimming program offering quality professional coaching and technical instruction for all ages and abilities. The vision of the SPY Swim Team is to foster an environment allowing individuals to become superior swimmers and better people, to contribute to team camaraderie and sportsmanship, and build lifelong skills consistent with the Y’s mission and cause.

Our head coach, Rob Busby, is a Level 5 certified member of the American Swimming Coaches Association. The coaching staff continues personal and professional education in the sport of swimming staying abreast of current technique and strategy. They provide assurances the time children spend training at swimming and dryland practice will be of utmost quality to prepare the swimmers for competition.

The SPY Swim Team is a program of the Springfield YMCA. The program is supported by many dedicated parents who volunteer their time for the betterment of the program and most importantly the kids. The SPY Parent Group is constantly looking for volunteers to help: at swim meets, with fundraisers, for social events and much more.
