Financial Assistance

Everyone is welcome at the Y regardless of their ability to pay. Individuals and families can apply for financial assistance for membership and program fees.

  • Step 1:

    Stop by either YMCA building for a tour and to get a Finacial Aid Application.

  • Step 2:

    Complete the application, gather documentation, and return to the YMCA with a $15 joiner fee.

  • Step 3:

    Your documentation will be reviewed within 3-5 business days and a YMCA staff member will contact you.

  • Step 4:

    If eligible, membership fees are paid to begin your membership.

  • Step 5:

    Financial assistance expires every two years. Repeat step 2 to renew your membership.

Thanks to the generous donors to our Strong Kids Fund, qualified applicants can receive YMCA of Springfield scholarships based on a sliding fee scale designed to fit each applicant’s unique financial circumstance.

To apply for financial assistance, please complete the YMCA Financial Aid Application and submit supporting documentation from one of the three listed options, as well as a $15 application fee. 

You can submit the application & documents in person at either of our locations or by email to membership@springfieldymca.org.

If you qualify,  our team will contact you in 3-5 business days to help get your membership started
